Why don't you offer a worship service at 9:15 a.m.?
Messiah congregation has chosen to dedicate 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday to the education of all God's children, young and old alike. There are opportunities for 2-year-olds to go to Sunday school with a parent, regular Sunday school for three-year-olds through 8th grade, senior high youth, and adults. The adults have a choice of two to three options for studying God's Word each Sunday morning.

What grade do children start confirmation?
Confirmation is for youth in 5th through 8th grade. They meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. during the school year. We offer pizza and pop (and occasionally something else to eat) from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m. each Wednesday for a nominal fee.

Do you have any programs for my younger children?
Yes! Also on Wednesday nights, we offer WOW! which stands for Word on Wednesday. Children age three through 4th grade attend from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. We offer pizza and pop (and occasionally something else to eat) from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m. each Wednesday for a nominal fee.

My son is in confirmation, does he still need to go to Sunday school?
Messiah strongly recommends that everyone be in Sunday school in order to be in God's Word. The curriculum that is taught on Sundays is different that what is taught in Confirmation.

Do you have a Small Group ministry at your church?
Yes! We encourge members to get to know each other better through studying God's Word together. Some groups meet in homes while others choose to meet at church on Wednesday nights while their children are in WOW!

What types of Bible studies do the small groups use?
Our Director of Christian Education is currently cataloging all of the Bible study material to offer each group various options to choose from.
